Rita L. Braden, 65, of Dayton, Texas passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017 in Baytown, Texas surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 10, 1951 in Fulton, Missouri to Norman H. and Lucinda Spencer Zeugin.

Rita was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed the simple things in life like cooking and cleaning. But what she enjoyed most was spending time with her family and taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rita’s children would say she loved screaming at them most and did it lovingly. Rita who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Rita was preceded in death by her father; and her siblings Rometta Clingman and Spencer Zeugin. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children Tommy Braden, Jr. and wife Della of Dayton, Tracie Strickland and husband Jason of Crosby and Erik Braden and wife Morgan of Dayton; her three grandsons and five granddaughters; her two great-grandsons; her mother Lucinda; her brothers Tom Zeugin and Ted Zeugin and wife Deborah all of Missouri; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6pm until 8pm on Thursday, March 30, 2017 in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main Street, Dayton, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Sterling Funeral Home. A graveside service and committal will immediately follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery in Dayton.

Honoring the family by serving as pallbearers will be Roy Smith, Jason Starnes, Nick Pate, Lance Clingman, Zach Zeugin and Jason Hyatt.
