Jimmy Dale Hardage, 67, formerly of Beaufort, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at his home in Dayton, Texas. He was born on June 4, 1950 in Floydada, Texas to Florida Edwin and Nona Mary Barber Hardage. 

Jimmy worked in delivery and transportation for numerous years as a commercial truck driver for the plumbing industry. Three years ago, he relocated from Beaufort, South Carolina, making Dayton his home. 

Jimmy was an avid fisherman, Dallas Cowboy fan and a Dale Earnhardt, Sr. collector. He also enjoyed watching auto racing and target practice with his BB guns. Jimmy’s fondest memory was spending time with his mother, while fishing together at Harry’s Fish Camp in Pineville, South Carolina. 

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Frankie Edwin Hardage; and dear friend Jackie. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife Teresa Hotaling Hardage of Dayton; his children Shawn Hardage and wife Renee of Beaufort, South Carolina, Nona Neal and husband John of Ladson, South Carolina and Sheena Griffin and husband Christopher of Cleveland, Texas; his grandchildren Kenny Moon, Josey Neal Tumbleston and husband Kirk and Courtney Neal all of Ladson, South Carolina, Caleb and Noah Hardage of Beaufort, South Carolina, Izabella and Olivia Griffin of Cleveland, Texas; his great-grandchildren Robert Neal and Annabell Tumbleston of Ladson, South Carolina, Chad Peterson of Florence, South Carolina and Cassidy Toma of Ladson, South Carolina; his brother Robert Hardage and wife Margaret or Yorktown, Virginia; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. 

It was Jimmy’s wishes to be cremated. There will be a memorial service at a later date and his cremated remains will be scattered over the lake where Harry’s Fish Camp is located in Pineville. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Jimmy’s brother Robert Hardage to help offset funeral expenses.
