Dorothy Ruth Start

Dorothy Ruth Start departed this earthly life to her eternal life in heaven on February 1, 2017. Dorothy was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on September 21, 1924. Her short time here measured 92 years, four months and eleven days.

Dorothy was a faithful wife, devoted and loving mother to three children who survive her: David C. Start, Jr. and wife Carla, Deborah Joanne Start Pipes and husband Tommy and Daryl Wayne Start and wife Sherrene. She is also survived seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Tuer and Catherine Young Denison and her husband of nearly 60 years, David C. Start, Sr.

In lieu of flowers, Dorothy asked that donations be made to Star of Hope Mission, Texas Children’s Hospital or to the charity of your choice.
