Timothy H. Kiely

Timothy Harley Kiely, of Anahuac, Texas, passed away gently during the early morning hours of Monday, October 29, 2018. 

Timothy was born in Kansas City, Kansas in 1958.  He spent his years as a young man raising a red-headed ruckus from Kansas City, down the Mississippi River and into New Orleans, Louisiana.  If there was fun to be had, Timothy stood tall right in the middle of it.  Work later took him up the east coast into Rhode Island where he simmered down and started a family.  Tragically, he suffered a vehicle accident that changed the course of his life.

The last half of his life was spent quietly, with his Kansas and Texas family around him alternating between pushing him to walk or settling down to play hand after hand of blackjack.  He had no greater cheerleader than his mom.  She devoted her life to his care, finding ways to overcome medical obstacles through sheer force of will and love.  Throughout his struggles, Timothy kept his sense of humor.  He held a fondness for his time in New Orleans and loved sharing memories with his friends.  He was quick to snap his fingers, laugh, tell a joke, and then ask for a cup of coffee.  He had a kind heart.  He will be missed.

Timothy is survived by his mother, Adris “Pat” Kiely, his brother William “Bill” Packard (wife Deborah), his sister Sherry Boutte (husband Russell), son Dustin Kiely, nieces Cheri Michelle Packard, Samantha Trahan and Suzanne Bahler, two aunts Arotha Short and Willa Stapleton and a whole host of cousins.
