Sherry Charlene Gore, 73, of Anahuac, Texas, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2019, in Clear Lake, Texas surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 29, 1946, in Conroe, Texas to the late Charles and Dorothy Irene Bruce Kelly. Sherry was a lifelong resident of the Anahuac area and she graduated from Anahuac High School in 1964. She was also a former member of the Eastern Star in New Waverly.

Sherry was loving, caring and giving. She was a nurturer and loved nothing more than to help others whenever she could. Sherry was an overprotector of the ones she loved so dear. She pursued many interests, some of which included baking, cooking, and sewing. Sherry also enjoyed singing and dancing. She and her husband shared a passion for music and were in a band together for many years. Sherry’s favorite hobby of all was spending time with her grandchildren and her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many who will be missed tremendously and remembered dearly by family and friends alike.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Charles Henry Kelly, Jr.; her husband James Gore; her children Kelly Marie Colley Rivon, Eddie Gore and Jimmy Staley; and her grandson Tommy Barrett. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her sons Jason Colley, Ronald Colley, Richard Gore, and Johnny Gore; her daughters Margaret Gore and Marry Gore; her grandchildren Mason, Marissa, Bobbie and wife Beatriz, Jimmy Charles and wife Heather, Hannah, Jesse, Harlee and husband Anthony, Cheyenne, Billy Jack and Charlie Barret; her great-grandchildren Lacey, Jayme, Alexia, Alejandro, Kaiden, Nicolas, Katelyn, Bonnie, Cal, Bill Bill, Acelin, Jaida, Willow, Anthony, Cloey, Chris and soon to make her arrival Baby Ava; her sister Susan Sartor; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Friends are invited to visit with the family 4pm until 6pm on Saturday, December 28, 2019, in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 1201 S. Main Street in Anahuac. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 6pm at the funeral home.
