Patricia Ann Martinez

November 25, 1952 ~ June 30, 2019 (age 66) 66 Years Old

Tribute

Patricia Ann Martinez, 66, of Huntsville, Texas, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2019, at her home surrounded by loving family. She was born on November 25, 1952, in Picayune, Mississippi to the late Huron and Vivian Johnson Sanford and one of four daughters.

Patricia loved nature and the great outdoors. She enjoyed nothing more than rain and the sound of rain hitting the tin roof atop her screened in back porch. It was not rare to find Patricia sitting or sleeping on that very porch when it was raining out. She loved all of God’s creatures and was quite the animal charmer. Patricia had just about every type of animal around the house including snakes, rats, dogs, cats just to name a few. She even rehabbed some raccoons and other animals over the years before releasing them back into the wild.

Patricia pursued many interests, some of which included fishing, vegetable gardening, cooking and brushing up on her Spanish speaking. She was an amazing and talented cook, often found in the kitchen during the early morning hours cooking up some delightful dishes. Patricia had a gift for playing spoons music. She would even try to teach others her love for it but they were never able to catch on.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; and her daughter Cynthia Ellis. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 26 years Bob Mullen; her children Jacob Martinez of Houston, John Oscar Ellis of Louisiana and Shellenia Ellis of Huntsville; her numerous grandchildren; her siblings Kathy Garcia, Susan Delgado and Yvette Holcomb; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Patricia will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A graveside service and committal will be held at 10am on Friday, July 5, 2019, in Palms Memorial Park Cemetery, 2421 TX-146, Dayton, Texas, with Bro Jeff Day officiating.
