Mildred Juanita Steelman Eitel, passed away on January 13, 2020, at the age of 98 at Shanoan Springs Nursing Home in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She was born on April 25, 1921, near Bradley, Oklahoma, the oldest of ten children born to Jones Bryan and Stella Mae Steelman. Juanita graduated from Minco High School in 1937. She married Donald Eitel on December 12, 1942, and they lived most of their life together in Anahuac, Texas until his passing in 2003. Juanita remained in her Anahuac home until 2018 when her family helped her move back to Chickasha to be near extended family.

Juanita was a very sweet and loving person. She sent many cards and letters to her Oklahoma family and recorded the events of each day in her journal. Juanita and Donald were active in the Methodist Church until their health declined. She found her greatest joy in being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Donald; her sisters Irene Kennedy, Wanda Bright, and Imogene Clark; her brothers Jack Steelman and Phil Steelman; and grandson Brian Lee Eitel. She is survived by her son Terry Eitel of Baytown, Texas; her grandchild Stephen Eitel and wife Shelley of Baytown, Texas; her great-grandchild Barret Eitel of Baytown, Texas; her sisters Leota Aduddell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Shirley Howard of Amber, Oklahoma and Darlene Hestand of Chickasha, Oklahoma; her brother Gary Steelman and wife Lillian of Amber, Oklahoma; her many nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
