Tribute

Michelle Diane Pierson, 38, of Hankamer, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at her home. She was born on December 1, 1980, in Beaumont, Texas to Terry Sue Williams Jennings and Donald Charles Pierson. Michelle graduated from Silsbee High School in 1999 and attended college at Lamar University. She worked in administration for the health care industry for many years.

Michelle was a Houston Astros fan, a die-hard Harrison Ford and Star Wars fanatic, she even owned a life-size Han Solo cutout. She pursued many hobbies, some of which included reading, making jewelry and sewing. Michelle would sew her fiancé Shane’s patches on his jackets and was talented enough at it to make her own curtains. She also adored all animals, especially her own and would often take in strays from the streets to nurture and love.

Michelle was a very social and outgoing woman. She was loud, spontaneous and goofy with a laugh and smile that was infectious. It was hard not to be captivated by her personality. Michelle was a loving daughter, fiancé, sister, and friend to many who will be missed beyond measure.

Michelle was preceded in death by her father; and her maternal grandmother Beverly Williams whom she was very close to. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her fiancé Shane Stark of Hankamer; her stepson Dylan Stark of Atlanta; her parents Terry and William Jennings of Lumberton; her siblings Melissa Geiger and husband Nate of Vidor and Jason Pierson and wife Stephanie of Lufkin; her step-siblings Darrell Gordon and wife Angel, Letisha Eason and husband Vigle, April Gore, Caroline Elliott and husband Derrick, Brian Jennings and wife Kim, Nathan Jennings and wife Laurie, Timothy Jennings and wife Nicole, Elizabeth Leavitt and husband Trent and Ben Jennings; her stepmother Lisa Pierson of Silsbee; her nieces and nephews Ada, Adrian and Austin Pierson, Maribelle and Zoë Geiger, Blake David and multiple other nieces and nephews; and a host of loving relatives and friends.
