Tribute

Mary “Lynn” Caroline DiCarlo, 73, of Cypress, Texas, passed away Monday morning at 4:45am at her home after a 5-month battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born on July 11, 1945, in Victoria, Texas to Carol and Meigs Jenkins. Lynn was raised in Hankamer and attended Anahuac schools. She graduated from Anahuac High School in 1963.

Lynn worked as a real estate agent in the Houston area for 25 years. She was a former member of Our Lady of Light Catholic Church in Anahuac, where she took her first communion as a young girl. Lynn also attended St. Louis Catholic Church in Winnie.

Lynn was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to many. She was smart, independent, determined and “sassy” not bossy. Lynn was an artist and she enjoyed reading, shopping, and politics. Her favorite thing of all was spending time with her large family at the Jenkins family home in Hankamer, Texas. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Lynn was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother James Jenkins. She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her children Missy Moureau and husband Carter, Bryan DiCarlo and Christy Bankston and husband Dale; her grandchildren Jeremy Moureau, Meagan Moureau, Ryan Moureau, Shelby Bankston, Perry Bankston, Garrison DiCarlo, Davis DiCarlo and Leighton DiCarlo; her great-grandchildren Layla Moureau, Jacob Moureau, Kylee Moureau, Jhett Bankston, Madden Moureau and Tatum Moureau; her siblings Shirley Williams, Lydia Jenkins, Sue Jenkins and Benny Jenkins; and other loving relatives and friends.

Honoring the family by serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Moureau, Ryan Moureau, Tan Williams and Danny Williams.
