David Bryson, Jr.

David George Bryson, Jr., 64, of Pasadena, Texas, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019, at his home, surrounded by family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many. David was born on January 15, 1955, in Frankfurt, Germany to the late Virginia and David George Bryson, Sr. He attended high school at both South Houston and Sam Rayburn where he graduated the Class of 1973.

David had worked for the Pasadena Post Office as a postman for 35 years before retiring. He enjoyed spending his time outdoors mowing and landscaping. David was an avid sports fan, always watching baseball, NASCAR and rooting for his favorite college football team, Alabama Crimson Tide. But what He loved most was spending quality time with his family and grandchildren. David will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

David was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife of 38 years Sherry Jean Bryson; and his siblings Cheri James and Mike Bryson. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his children Amy Diane Figueroa and husband Jereme and Joshua Shane Bryson and wife Baili; his grandchildren Preslee Bryson, Kaelynn Copeland, Alley Figueroa, Paetynn Copeland, Haedynn Copeland, Caesynn Bryson and Blake Figueroa; his siblings Barbara Waldmann and husband Tom and Tom Bryson and wife Sue; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

A celebration of David’s life will be held at 11am on Saturday, May 11, 2019, in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main Street in Dayton with Chaplain Joe Raiborn officiating.
