Willa Mae Kent Murr

Willa Mae Kent Murr, 81, of Dayton, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at her home. She was born on March 23, 1936 in Canton, North Carolina to Quin and Verl Stamey Kent.

Willa Mae married Harry R. Murr in 1952. She relocated to Dayton in 2003 from North Shore area. Willa Mae worked as a retail sales manager for Palais Royal in both Pasadena and Liberty for more than 20 years. She was a sports enthusiast who really enjoyed watching basketball.

Willa Mae was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Harry R. Murr; her son Richard Murr; and her daughter-in-law Margie Murr. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter Judith Berry and her husband John; her granddaughter Ree Herdejergen and husband Josh; her great-grandchildren Maggie, Madelaine and Maci Herdejergen; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

At the family’s request, no services will be held at this time as it was Willa Mae’s wishes to be cremated.
