Thomas Allen Mock

Thomas Allen Mock, 75, of Mont Belvieu, Texas, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at his residence. He was born on February 6, 1947, in Baytown, Texas, to the late Leonard Joseph and Ethel Mae Elizabeth Kearney Mock. Thomas graduated from Barbers Hill High School and as a local college graduate, later made his career as an accountant. He was a member of Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Baytown for many years.

Tom had a love for all types of sports, exercising, living a healthy lifestyle, and spending time with his family. He was an avid sports collector of baseball cards, baseballs, and footballs. He was strong and resilient, yet humble, introverted and generous.  

Tom enjoyed the simple things life had to offer, including quiet time at home and quality time with family. Being a true Texan, he was very honorable and respectful in the life he led, always taking others into consideration. Tom was a wonderful caretaker for his mother, consistently living nearby and tending to her needs. He made it known how proud he was of each family member and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother Leonard Charles Mock. He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory his sister-in-law Cecile Biggs Mock of Chesterfield, Virginia; his nephew Dr. Allen Mock and wife, Susan, of Charleston, West Virginia; his niece Karen Lane Mock, her husband Wesley Smith and their child Cora Mock Smith of Powhatan, Virginia.

A memorial Mass service will be held at a later date.
