Terry Lynn Norman, 70, of Anahuac, Texas, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017 at his home. He was born on June 8, 1947 in Livingston, Texas to Newton Fred and Dixie Walters Norman. Terry was a 1965 graduate of Anahuac High School and proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1966 to 1970. He worked 29 years for Trinity Bay Conservation District and for the last 10 years also served as the Chambers County Veteran Service Officer. Terry was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Anahuac and a Past Commander of the American Legion Freeman Spath Post 104 in Anahuac.

Terry loved working in his shop, building or refinishing furniture and taking pictures of the wonders of nature. But most of all he loved taking pictures of his grandchildren.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents; his two brothers Rickie Norman and Roger Norman; and one sister, Dana Fancher. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 44 years, Myra Hand Norman; his two daughters, Kimberly Poe and husband Sam of Humble, Texas and Crystal Norman of Fort Worth, Texas; his three grandchildren, Lilly Anne Poe, Ethan Ryan Poe and Blake Owen Poe; his two sisters, Deborah Wheat and husband Jackie and Joann Orn and husband Curtis, all of Anahuac; his one brother, Russell Norman and wife Sharon of Diboll, Texas; and a host other loving relatives and friends. Terry will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5pm until 7pm on Monday, July 3, 2017 in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 1201 S. Main Street, Anahuac, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church of Anahuac, with Dr. Kenn Munn officiating. A graveside service and committal will immediately follow in Anahuac Cemetery.

Honoring the family by serving as pallbearers will be Wayne Gibson, Amos Roy, Donnie Waits, Corey Gilbert, Will Smith and Tim Nash. Honorary pallbearer will be Dale Vanderpol.
