Teadora Cervantes Castro

Teadora Cervantes Castro, 85, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, in New Orleans, Louisiana, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 29, 1934, in Mexico to the late Tomas Cervantes and Aurelia Castro.

Teadora was a beautiful woman who loved nothing more than to be dressed up nice and sharp. She always dressed very stylish with her nails and hair done to match. Teadora also enjoyed music, singing, and dancing. She was a very loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed tremendously and remembered dearly by family and friends alike.

Teadora was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Felipe Solis. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children Francisco Solis and wife Yesenia, Carlos Solis and wife Maria, Arturo Solis and wife Isabel, Luis Solis and wife Alejandra, Gloria Lopez and husband Cristobal, Isabel Garcia and husband Angel and Ana Maria Ramirez and husband Gonzalo; her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Honoring the family by serving as pallbearers will be Francisco Solis, Carlos Solis, Arturo Solis, Luis Solis, Jonathan Solis, and Eliseo Solis.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5pm until 8pm on Sunday, December 22, 2019, in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main Street in Dayton. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Monday, December 23, 2019, at Sterling Funeral Home. A graveside service and committal will immediately follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
