Tabitha Dawn Wimberly

March 13, 1980 ~ June 14, 2017 (age 37) 37 Years Old

Tabitha Dawn Wimberly was given her angel wings June 14, 2017 after a brave battle against cancer. A resident of Dayton, Texas for most of her life, she was a true-blue Cajun, born in Lake Charles, Louisiana on March 13, 1980. Nothing made her happier than the sand between her toes, a Saints win and Daddy’s good home cooking. Tabitha lived every day to the fullest and loved just as hard as she lived. Whether it was parasailing over the ocean or jumping from a plane, she never wasted the precious time God granted her. Tabby, as many of her loved ones called her, was passionate about many things, the most visible being her many tattoos. Her collection of ink was extensive, and each mark told a story and held great meaning. She also loved the finer things in life, and spared no expense on looking her best always, even if it was just to run to the store or even to the beach. Tabby worked her CEC, earning the spot as the night shift Book-in Officer, a job that was right up her alley. A loyal friend, Tabitha was known for being the life of the party and someone you could always count on. Tabitha spent her last months and days surrounded by the many family and friends that loved her dearly. Always a fighter, she never stopped looking towards the future.

When she took her last precious earthly breath, she was so lovingly received in heaven by her Maw, Emma Bellard and her Pop, Albun Bellard. Sugar, Tabitha’s so beloved dog, was also there waiting. Her welcome party also included her Grandparents, Curtis and Gloria Wimberly, and her Guardian Angel, baby Daniel  Brown. Her memory here will be kept alive by the loved ones she leaves. She is survived by her beautiful daughter, Tacy Danielle, who will never know just how much her mother tried; her loving mother and father, Jeanette and Clay, who were her strength, her rock and the most cherished two people in her life; her favorite brother, Jonathan, her niece Adrianna, her two nephews, Joshua and Keaden. Also left to continue her memory are: Aunt Gay and Uncle Kevin, Aunt Charlene, Aunt Henrietta and Uncle Ted, Aunt Patrice and Uncle Kevin, Aunt “Sister Lucia” Phyllis, Uncle Pat and Aunt Sandy, Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Julia, Uncle Jerry and Aunt Sherryl, Uncle Dennis and Aunt Nicole, Uncle Snake and Aunt Judy, Uncle Shannon and Aunt Alice, Uncle Guy and Aunt Pam, along with many Cousins, Friends and Family.

Services will be held Saturday, June 24th at 2:00PM at Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton, with the family receiving guest at their home following the service.
