Sheri Lyn Roach

Sheri Lyn Roach, 72, of Dayton, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 11, 2021, in Baytown, Texas. She was born on September 21, 1948 to the late George and Eleanor Howard Niles.

Sheri worked as a sales associate for Walmart in Crosby, Texas for many years. She was an all-around great person; it was easy to get to know her. Sheri was a people person and someone who never met a stranger. She could strike up a conversation with anyone who was willing to listen. Sheri was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to many. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Sheri pursued many interests, some of which included crochet and sewing. She also loved being a Guinea pig to her son-in-law, Cody’s cooking. Sheri’s favorite hobby of all was spending time with her family and her teacup Yorkie, Little Bit. 

Sheri was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory, her daughter Tamie Stones and husband Cody Lynn Whitton, Jr.; her grandchildren Cody Lynn Whitton, III of Dayton and Courtney Lynn Whitton and husband Matt Crocker of Groton, Connecticut; her great-granddaughters Hadley and Paisley; and a host of other loving family and friends.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6pm until 8pm, on Sunday, June 20, 2021, in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main Street in Dayton, Texas. A funeral service will be held at 10am, on Monday, June 21, 2021, at Sterling Funeral Home, with Bro. Jeff Day, officiating. A graveside service and committal will immediately follow in Palms Memorial Park Cemetery in Dayton.
