Rickey Nelson Rodgers

Rickey Nelson Rodgers 59, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2021. He was born on April 10, 1961, in Dayton, Texas to Roland Rodgers and Jessie Rodriguez Rodgers. Rickey was a very outgoing and friendly man that loved making everyone smile just by saying something really funny. He enjoyed relaxing with his son Kernard and just having a good time. He would watch different sports and old western shows. Rickey touched the lives of many and will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by parents, Roland and Jessie Rodgers.

Rickey is survived by his son, Kernard Stearns; special friend, Bessie Thomas; grandchildren, Rashard Stearns and Kernard Stearns Jr.; brother, Ard Rodgers; and a host of extended family and friends.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 8:00am to 9:00am on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Sterling Funeral Home Dayton. Funeral services will begin at 9:00 am.  Interment will follow in Palms Memorial Park Cemetery.
