Patricia Lee Gizinski

Patricia “Pat” Lee Courtney Gizinski, 87, of Crosby, Texas, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023, with her loving family by her side. She was born on January 22, 1936, in Veteran, Wyoming, to the late Joseph Daniel and Margaret Gray Courtney. Pat graduated from Saint Mary’s High School in Cheyenne Wyoming, the class of 1954. She went on to attend the University of Wyoming, completing her associates degree in education. She was a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority and a member of the Philanthropic Educational Organization also known as the P.E.O.

Pat pursued many interests, some of which were shopping, volunteering, and entertaining her friends and family. She was very fun and loving, always quick to welcome you into her home if you stopped by. Pat was adventuresome and was always up to go somewhere if the opportunity arose. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Pat will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.  

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters Mary Francis Rust, Joanne Wunderlich and Barbara Volpe. She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory her beloved husband Eldon Wayne Gizinski of 67 years; her children Julie Mangum and husband Geff of Austin, and Ned Gizinski of Houston; her grandchildren Stephanie and Samantha Mangum both of Austin; along with a host of other loving relatives and friends.

  It was Pat’s wish to be cremated and to be remembered by all as the kind, loving and funny woman that she was.
