Myrna Clydene Leftwich

Myrna Clydene “Deanie” Leftwich, 73, lifelong resident of Mont Belvieu, Texas, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2017 in Baytown, Texas. She was born on October 2, 1944 in Baytown to Clyde and Myrna Wolford Leftwich. Clydene graduated from Barbers Hill High School in 1963 and attended Lee College where she received her Associate’s degree. 

Clydene worked in the veterinary field for over 30 years serving as a Veterinary Technician. She retired last year from Cedar Bayou Animal Clinic where she was the practice manager for many years. She loved all types of animals, but adored her own cats and exotic birds. Clydene bred, raised and showed Persian cats for several years. Her animals were her favorite hobby; next to that was being an avid QVC shopaholic. 

Clydene was a member of Old River Baptist Church. She was a loving daughter, cousin, aunt and friend to many who will deeply miss her. 

Clydene was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her cousins Lee Kaderli and wife Linda of Mont Belvieu, Keith Elliott and wife Debbie of Fannett, Dwayne Elliott and wife Karen of Mont Belvieu and Terry Elliott of Mont Belvieu; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. 

Honoring the family by serving as pallbearers will be Kyle Kaderli, Brent Kaderli, Trey Elliott, Cody Elliott, Trevor Elliot, Connor Elliott, Michael Harrrelson and Chris Harrelson. 

Friends are invited to visit with the family beginning at 12pm on Thursday, December 28, 2017 in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main Street, Dayton, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2pm. A graveside service and committal will immediately follow in Palms Memorial Park Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Clydene’s honor to City of Baytown Animal Services and Adoption Center, 705 N. Robert C. Lanier Drive, Baytown, Texas 77521.
