Monnie “Bunny” Bell Teasley, 89, of Anahuac, Texas, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2017 in Baytown, Texas. She was born on April 26, 1928 in White Oak, Texas, the daughter of the late Clarence Eli and Blanch Gatlin Davis. Bunny attended White Oak School where she was active in the Roughneck Band. Later she went to Kilgore Junior College where she played the clarinet in the KJC Ranger Band. Bunny’s fondest memories of her college days was when the football team, Rangerettes and the Ranger Band went to Pasadena, California to take part in the First Annual Little Rose Bowl game. In 1947, Bunny married J.C. Teasley, Jr. in the White Oak Baptist Church.

Some of Bunny’s favorite hobbies included gardening, genealogy, her computer and watching hummingbirds. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Bunny was preceded in death by her parents; her son Darrell Alan Teasley; and her husband J.C. Teasley, Jr. her bother Donald E. Davis and his wife Betty Ricks Davis; and her nephew Tod Tidwell. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter Joy Sandlin; her grandchildren Amber Sandlin and Travis Sandlin; and other loving relatives and friends.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5pm until 7pm on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 1201 S. Main Street, Anahuac, Texas. A graveside service and committal will be held at 11:30am on Thursday, November 9, 2017 in White Oak Cemetery, White Oak, Texas.
