Kenneth and Priscilla Meadors

December 14, 2018

Tribute

A love story that never ends, Priscilla and Kenneth Meadors of Huffman, Texas passed away on December 14, 2018, peacefully almost 12 hours apart. Priscilla was born on March 18, 1938 to the late Barney and Irene Barnes in Dunkirk, NY. She graduated from Cassadaga High School in Sinclairville, New York. Kenneth was born on July 7, 1942 to the late Adolfis and Fredia Meadors in Clifton, Texas. He graduated from Clifton High School in 1960.

Kenneth and Priscilla were united in marriage on October 14, 1972. They were married for 46 years and together raised four beautiful children, whom they claimed to be their greatest accomplishments. They were a very loving and devoted couple, parents and grandparents who rarely did anything without the other.

Kenneth worked in the construction business all his life and was a Superintendent for many of those years. He was country with an old school type of personality.  Kenneth enjoyed riding his Harley and was an avid Harley fan, drinking cold beer and his spending time with his Border Collie fur-baby Sassie. His most favorite thing in the world was his wife whom he would move mountains for.

Priscilla owned and operated two successful restaurants, Grandma’s Kitchen in Dayton and the Crumpled Straw in Tarkington for many years. Everyone knew her at the restaurant because she was devoted to the community. Priscilla and Kenneth also owned and operated together K & P T-shirts for several years. Priscilla was an independent, strong willed yet very loving woman. She was always very blunt, funny, social and a people person. Priscilla enjoyed playing card games, gambling and doing yard work.

Kenneth and Priscilla were preceded in death by their parents; and a son Joe Henry, III. Kenneth was also preceded in death by his sister Janey Sampson. Priscilla was also preceded in death by her sister Phyllis Wilcox; and her nephew Mark Wilcox. Together, they leave behind to cherish their memory, their children Tammy Collums and husband Grady, Jay Meadors and Melinda Henry; their grandchildren Amanda Price and husband Bo, Travis Psencik and wife Jessi, Justin Rose, Jacob Collums, Alex Cavalier, James Meadors and Jason Meadors; their great-grandchildren Jett Meadors, Jax Meadors, Parker Price, Paisley Price, Presley Price, Milo Psencik and Ayden Psencik; and numerous other loving relatives and friends. Kenneth is also survived by his brothers A.D. Meadors and Danny Meadors; and brother-in-law Lonny Sampson.
