Joshua Caleb Crunk, 26, of Dayton, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 9, 2018 in Jefferson County, Texas. He was born on May 18,1991 in Bay City, Texas to Ronald Dean and Cathie Louise Morris Crunk. Joshua worked as a pipefitter in the oil and gas industry and was working for Echo at Motiva in Port Arthur, Texas. 

Joshua was a devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend to many who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His wife Melanie and son Mason were the center of his world and he loved them both unconditionally. Joshua will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Joshua enjoyed watching Marvel, Avenger and Zombie movies. He and Melanie were avid fans of The Walking Dead series. In his younger years, Joshua was a skateboarder and inline speed skater. He was a daredevil who was fearless and lived life to the fullest. Joshua also enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors whether it was riding his 4-wheeler or paintball activities. 

Joshua was preceded in death by his twin daughters, Kynedi and Heidi Crunk; his sister Crystal Crunk; his brothers Carlton Crunk and Willie Kruse; and his grandparents Audrey and Harold Morris, Aubrey Crunk, Katy Gates and Harold and Bernice Lummus. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife Melanie Dawn Stephens Crunk of Dayton, Texas; his son Mason Dean Crunk also of Dayton; his parents Ronald and Cathie Crunk of Blessing, Texas and Jim and Sherry Stephens of Dayton, Texas; his siblings Veronica Crunk, Alton Crunk, Tonya Lie, Curtis Crunk, J.D. and Ashley Green; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. 

Honoring the family by serving as pallbearers will be Nicholas Palomares, Marshall Junek, Tanner Junek, Michael Alvarado, Ronald Crunk, Alton Crunk, Tony Lummus and J.D. Green. 

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6pm until 8pm on Monday, March 12, 2018 in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main Street, Dayton, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Sterling Funeral Home. A private family committal will be held at Sterling White Cemetery in Highlands.
