Jimmy Tom Wolcott, 72, of Dayton, Texas, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2019 at his home. He was born on May 12, 1946 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Louis Henry and Dessie O’Neal Wolcott. Jimmy proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era. Jimmy's military involvement was very important to him. He was a national member of the American Legion and contributor to all things military.

Jimmy, a resident of Dayton area since 1999, worked as an electrician for the Albermarle Corporation in Pasadena from 1977 until his retirement in 2010. He pursued many interests, some of which included hunting, saltwater fishing, and traveling. Jimmy’s most recent trip to Cabo San Lucas landed him a rare 7’ Striped Marlin and his favorite place to visit was Alaska. Jimmy was often seen driving around with the top down on his Corvette. Jimmy was an avid gun collector. Jimmy had a love for his Great Danes and leaves behind his 2 compainions, Boomer and Bear. What Jimmy loved most of all was his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend to many. Jimmy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Patricia Wolcott; his second wife Linda Wolcott; his first wife Barbara Wolcott; and his sister Doris McDow. Jimmy's memory will be cherished by his sons Jerry Don Wolcott and Richard Louis Wolcott; his daughter Trina Thatcher; his eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; his brother Charles Wolcott; his three nieces and one nephew; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
