Jimmy Wayne Fullbright, 72, of Clear Lake, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 in Houston, Texas. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many. He was born on May 12, 1944 in Liberty, Texas to James and Atrelle Fullbright. Jimmy graduated from Hardin High School in 1962 and was very proud to have played on the football team (#33 Hardin Hornets). He worked as a Right of Way Planner for HL&P (now Reliant Energy), retiring after 26 years with the company.

Jimmy was an accomplished singer/songwriter and musician. He spent time in the 70’s in Nashville with songwriter friends Wayne Walker and “Lefty” Frizzell and had fun in the 70’s and 80’s performing with his family country music band. Jimmy was a real movie buff who loved watching old movies, westerns, action movies and romantic comedies. The last 20 years were spent enjoying family, friends and caring for his granddaughter, Monica.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister Margaret Davoody. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 52 years Pennie Fullbright of Clear Lake; his son Dave Fullbright and wife Jan of Clear Lake; his granddaughter Monica Alene Fullbright; his sister Eileen Levine and husband Bob of Florida; his brother Johnny Fullbright of Rosharon; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2pm on Sunday, May 21, 2017 in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main Street, Dayton, Texas. The family would like to extend an invitation to visit an hour prior to the service.
