Jeremia Hunter McLean

Jeremia Hunter McLean, 27, of Dayton, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, in Pasadena, after the recent passing of his wife Meagan Nicole Kallus McLean. He was born on December 18, 1991, in Frankfurt, Germany to Chad Wayne McLean and the late Pamela Renee Hord. Jeremia had worked for several years in various capacities in the construction business.

Jeremia was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and friend to many. He had a big heart and a smile that could light up a room. Jeremia was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jeremia was preceded in death by his mother Pamela; his grandfather Frank McLean; and his beloved wife of 2 years Meagan Kallus McLean. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his son Colt Hunter McLean and stepson Cathan Riggs Cain; his father and stepmother Chad and Jennifer McLean of Old River-Winfree; his brothers Chad McLean, Jr. of Old River-Winfree and Justin Houpt of Pasadena; his grandmother Sharon McLean of Montgomery; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Honoring the family by serving as pallbearers will be Jonathan Hernandez, Gage Nelson, J.V. Giardina, Trey Spossey, Chad McLean, Jr., Justin Houpt, David McLean and Noah Geary.

Friends are invited to visit with the family beginning at 10am on Monday, September 16, 2019, in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main Street, Dayton, TX 77535. A funeral service will follow at 11am, with Dr. Brad McLean officiating. A graveside service and committal will immediately follow in Palms Memorial Park in Dayton.
