Jason Derran Foster

August 7, 1995 ~ April 10, 2019 (age 23) 23 Years Old

Tribute

Jason Derran Foster, 23, of Wallisville, Texas and formerly of Houston, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 10, 2019. He was born on August 7, 1995, in Houston, the son of Joe Foster and Amy Voss-Foster. Jason graduated from Cypress Creek High School in 2013 and attended both Lone Star College in Tomball and Lee College in Baytown. He worked in various positions for Gore Propane in Wallisville for the past two and a half years.

Jason was a kind, compassionate and loving individual who blossomed when his wife Courtney entered his life.  While dating Courtney and Jason would phone each other and listen to each other fall asleep.  He was known to record himself singing made-up silly songs to send to his wife.   He was a loving and devoted husband.

He had a keen sense of humor, enjoyed being a jokester.  He went out of his way to help others when possible. Jason pursued many hobbies, some of which included his love of video gaming, fishing, camping and watching car races. He also had a love of animals and enjoyed staying home to play with his dogs. After high school, Jason enjoyed volunteering at an animal shelter in the Tomball area walking dogs and cleaning kennels.

Jason was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Ralph and Ruth Voss. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife Courtney Gore Foster of Wallisville; his parents Joe Foster and Amy Voss-Foster of Houston; his siblings Matthew Foster of Houston, Amanda Foster of Austin and Andrew Meredith; his father and mother-in-law Jimmy and Renee Gore of Wallisville; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Jason will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A graveside service and committal will be held at 11am on Monday, April 15, 2019, in Tilton Cemetery, with Rev Don Cain, officiating. The family requests casual attire be worn for the service and if you would like, wear something red to honor Jason’s memory.

In lieu of flowers, because of Jason’s love of animals, please donate to your local animal shelter.
