Bruce Flitter

James Bruce Flitter passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021 in Anahuac, Texas after several years of declining health. He was born in Columbia, SC on April 3, 1942 and was the oldest child of the late Samuel James and Rebecca Beamguard Flitter.  He met his beloved wife of 50 years, Sue Linney Flitter, in Charleston and spent many years living and working as a building contractor on the coast of South Carolina and on Lake Murray.  After relocating to Texas to care for in-laws, they settled in Anahuac.  Even though recent years took away his ability to race, he never lost his love for racing and race cars.  He is survived by his wife, Sue, and his sisters in South Carolina, Carole Eppersimons and Janice Long.  He was predeceased by his daughter, Terri Lynn Flitter.
