George Christopher Kopecky

George Christopher Kopecky, 48, a very loving father, son, and husband, joined the angels in heaven on Wednesday, June 19, 2019. He was born to the parents of Robert and Linda Kopecky on June 21, 1971, in Pasadena, Texas. On September 18, 1999, he married his loving wife, Sherry Kopecky and together raised three beautiful children, Joseph 12, Ayden 6, and Noah 5. George loved his family and had an infectious smile and a compassionate heart. 

George left behind many loving family members. This includes Uncle Joe (Rosalinda, Paul and ((Donna)), Richard (Janice) Kopecky. Also, Uncle Eddie (Jane) and Raymond (Barbara) Seils; a sister, Elizabeth Ann Moore; aunts Jeannie (Mike) Emmons-Corso, Rosie and Willemina Kopecky; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

George was preceded in death by his father, Robert Gene; and brother Shawn Curtis Kopecky. 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Shane Willingham, Bill Thomas, Adam Jones, Dirk Caple, Ulrike Harvey, John (Michelle) Galbraith, Javier (Lisa) Castillo, the Sheet Metal Local Union 54 and to Farmers. 

In closing, there are no goodbyes for us who loved him. He will always remain in our hearts forever. 

A celebration of George’s life will be held at 10am on Saturday, June 29, 2019, in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main Street in Dayton, with his uncle Joe Kopecky, officiating.
