Tribute

Francis E. Desormeaux, Sr., known as “Pawpaw: to those closest to him, went to glory on Friday, August 17, 2018. He was born on May 18, 1934 in Houma, Louisiana to Whitney and Mable Desormeaux. Francis graduated from Anahuac High School in 1952. Following graduation, he joined the United States Marines, proudly serving his country as a Corporal during the Korean Conflict.

Francis was a patient, strong and wise man. He was loving and kind, yet stubborn and ornery in his own ways. Francis enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family and they thought he was heroic. He was a phenomenal cook and he enjoyed fishing, playing dominos and shooting the bull with everyone. Francis was a former member of the Daisetta United Pentecostal Church. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
