Dora Ramos

Dora Luna Ramos departed this earth to join her heavenly father on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at the age of 68 with her husband by her side. She was born on July 11, 1948 in Bloomington, Texas, Dora spent her childhood in Victoria, Texas growing up with her brothers and sisters.

On November 20, 1971, Dora married Jose Ramos and welcomed their only child the following year. In 1981, they moved and settled in the Liberty area where she made her life as a loving wife, mother and homemaker.

A quiet observer of life, Dora found pleasure in the simple things, reading her Bible, phone calls with family and friends and watching her TV shows. In 2009, she became a grandmother, a title she wore proudly. Dora loved spending time with her grandchildren, watching them play and teaching them Spanish.

Always humble, never prideful, Dora was a beautiful woman with a great love for her family and a faithful servant of the Lord. While many family members have preceded her in death, she is loved and remembered by those she left behind.

Cherishing her memory are her husband of 45 years, Jose; her son Joe and wife Stacey; and their children Jacey, Gage and Kaytin; along with numerous family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 1pm to 8pm (family will be present starting at 4pm) on Sunday, June 25, 2017 in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main Street, Dayton, Texas, with a Rosary to be recited at 6pm. A funeral service will be held at 10am on Monday, June 26, 2017 at Sterling Funeral Home. A graveside service and committal will immediately follow in Palms Memorial Park Cemetery in Dayton.

Honoring the family by serving as pallbearers will be Miguel Ramos, Ruben Mendoza, Adam Luna, Hector Trevizo, Oscar Valtierra and Joe Ramos.
