David Nicholas Barrow

David Nicholas “Nick” Barrow, 49, lifelong resident of Hankamer, passed unexpectedly on Monday, December 25, 2017 at his home. He was born on October 9, 1968 in Anahuac, Texas to Reuben David and Patricia Dell Sutton Barrow. Nick graduated from Anahuac High School in 1987. He was a member of the Hankamer Community Fellowship.

Nick worked at Moor Farms in Hankamer, doing ranching, logging and farming for many years. He worked hard every day; he could ride any kind of horse and operate any kind of equipment. Nick never met a stranger and would always help anyone that ever asked.

Nick had several hobbies, some of which included his love of riding horses, cowboying, participating in Ranch Rodeo events and hog hunting. He was a loving son, father and friend to many. Nick’s greatest joy was his daughter, Madi Nickole, who was the apple of his eye.

Nick leaves behind to cherish his memory, his daughter Madi Nickole Barrow; his parents David and Pat Barrow; his cousin who was more like his brother Chris Barrow and wife Darla; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Honoring the family by serving as pallbearers will be Chris Barrow, Dean Barrow, Cade Barrow, Halley Moor, Jr., Cade Witherspoon, Kyle Witherspoon, Taylor Wilcox and Travis Knupple. Honorary pallbearers are Halley “PawPaw” Moor, Sr., Cody Wilcox, Richie Hargraves, Caleb Cooper, Cully Smith, John Rhame, Ronald Wayne Ashworth, Matt Sutton, Garrett Hill, Charlie Copeland, Hunter Brown, Mason Willis and Dillon Reecer.
