Chester Wayne Linares, 60, of Anahuac, went to be with the Lord on May 16, 2018, after a sudden illness. He was born November 13, 1957, in Port Arthur, TX and graduated from Anahuac High School in 1976.
Chester retired from Anahuac ISD after 24 years of service. He enjoyed working in his garden, fishing and spending time with family and friends. He never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone. He normally had a smile on his face and left an impression on people he met.
Chester was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Leota Linares of Anahuac; sister Margie Glass of Oak Island; brother Charles Linares of Houston; father (in-law) Robert Innerarity of Palestine; and brother (in-law) Scott Innerarity of Palestine.
Chester is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Robbie Innerarity Linares of Anahuac. He is also survived by son Glenn Innerarity and wife Melissa of Anahuac and son Jaime Linares of Anahuac; mother (in-law) Darlene Innerarity of Anahuac; brother/sister (in-law) Carl and Lisa Lincoln of Palestine and brother Johnny Linares of Baytown; along with 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on May 29, 2018, from 2pm-6pm at Sterling Funeral Home in Anahuac. Funeral to be held on May 30, 2018, at 10am at Sterling Funeral Home in Anahuac with interment to be held immediately after at Anahuac Cemetery. Honoring the family by serving as pallbearers will be Willis Cormier, Steve White, James Griffin, Miguel Flores, David Lincoln and Rene Padilla. Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Innerarity, Jaime Linares, Carl Lincoln, and Bill Caskey.
