Charles "Chuck" Henry Gau

Charles “Chuck” Henry Gau, 60, of Anahuac, Texas, passed away on August 12, 2019, in Galveston, Texas, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 28, 1958, in Port Arthur, Texas to Clinton David and Katie “Bessie” Kahla Gau. Chuck graduated from Anahuac High School in 1977. He was a self-employed commercial fisherman for many years in Chambers County.

Chuck loved his mother Bessie and they were truly devoted to each other. Always taking care of her even when it was not needed. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding ATVs. Chuck also liked to watch television and eat out whenever he had the opportunity. His favorite places to eat were Golden Corral and Salt Grass Steakhouse.

Chuck was preceded in death by his father, David Gau. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother Bessie Gau; and a host of other loving family members and friends.

Honoring the family by serving as pallbearers will be Johnnie Strimple, Jackie Kahla, Toby Kahla, Ronnie Kahla, Rhonda Kelley, and Aaron Kelley.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5pm until 7pm on Thursday, August 15, 2019, at the Oak Island Baptist Church, 304 Oak Island Drive, Anahuac, Texas. A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Friday, August 16, 2019, at the church, with Bro. Mark Pagels officiating. A graveside service and committal will immediately follow in Jackson Cemetery in Double Bayou, Texas.
