Cecilia “C.C.” Ann Simon of Baytown, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at her home at the age of 60. C.C. was born on December 15, 1958 in Houston, Texas. C.C. graduated from Klein High School in Spring, Texas, Class of 1977.

 

C.C. became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at the age of 17. She was also a member of multiple choirs including the Baytown and Lee College Choirs. C.C. loved anything music and if it had a note, she sang it! She was a very talented soprano singer, who often times sounded like Celine Dion. C.C. loved singing so much, she regularly sang Shania Twain’s “From this Moment” to her husband Donny.  If he didn’t answer his phone, she would even sing it in a voicemail message to him. Her favorite album to listen to on repeat mode was “Hot August Night” by Neil Diamond. In addition, C.C. loved to tinker on the piano.

 

C.C. was a charismatic, thoughtful, kind, loving and vivacious woman. She enjoyed crafting, painting and watching musicals. C.C.’s favorite thing included spending time with her family, children and grandchildren. C.C. met her husband Donny in March on Friday, the 13th and they united in marriage on Friday the 13th of November, 1998. Donny and C.C. celebrated 20 wonderful years together.

 

C.C. was preceded in death by her daughter Kathryn Elaine Franklin; her grandson Robert Trippel; her brother John Carroll; and her granny Estelle Smith. She survives through her husband of 20 years Donny Simon of Baytown; her mother Martha Carroll of Tomball; her children Kimberly Martins and husband Marcelo of Brazil, Gayle Saulsbury and husband Jason of Silsbee, Lonnie Franklin, Jr. of Tomball, William Franklin and wife Stephanie of Cypress, Adam Franklin and wife Samantha of Spring, Douglas Franklin and wife Stephanie of Pocatello, Idaho; her stepchildren Dawn Alleman and husband Brad of Crosby, Aaron Simon and wife Kelly of Marquette, Michigan and Chris Simon of Crosby; her grandchildren Mandy and Ethan Martins, Sarah, Jared, Makayla and Mallory Saulsbury, John, Lily, Logan and Theo Franklin, Lydia, Henry and Elizabeth Franklin, Megan Trippel, Madeleine and Luci Alleman, Arabella Olson and Gabe Simon; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving relatives and friendsCecilia “C.C.” Ann Simon of Baytown, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at her home at the age of 60.
