Carri Lynn Goins

Carri Lynn McDaniel, 42, a lifelong resident of Anahuac, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 31, 2019, in Houston, Texas. She was born on March 17, 1977, in Newport, Arkansas to Ronald Joe and Brenda Joyce Marks McDaniel.

Carri had worked for several years as a pipefitter, a job of which she was extremely proud of. She had been working for the past year in the solid waste department for Chambers County. Carri pursued many interests, some of which included gardening and playing on her phone. She was an avid animal lover, who loved her dogs and picking up stray cats to raise as her own. Carri’s favorite hobby of all was spending time with her kids and family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many who will be missed tremendously and remembered dearly by family and friends alike.

Carri was preceded in death by her fraternal grandparents James “JC” Carl and wife Lois and her maternal grandparents Albert and Joyce Marks; and her brother Ronald “Joey” McDaniel, Jr. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her parents Ronald and Brenda McDaniel; her sons Christopher Broussard and Cassie Myers and Cullin Broussard and Jaci Henderson; her grandchildren Ethan and Ezra Byrom; her niece and nephew Bailie and Kyle McDaniel; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

A celebration of Carri’s life will be held at 2pm on Saturday, January 11, 2020, in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home with Pastor Isaac Mahoney officiating.
