Bonnie Lee Garner

Bonnie Lee Garner, 77, of Dayton, Texas, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019, in Crosby, Texas surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 10, 1941, in Camden, Arkansas to Ralph and Gladys Goodman Reed. 

Bonnie was a beautiful, kind and loving woman. She was willing to help and take care of others whenever she was able. Bonnie was also outspoken and got her point across by always having the last word. Bonnie pursued several hobbies such as oil painting not only on canvas but also on saw blades, crafting and sewing blankets. 

Bonnie worked in the bar and restaurant industry in various capacities for many years. She even owned and operated her own bar, Garner’s Corner in Houston for 5 years. 

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 63 years T.W. Garner; her son Glen “Skeeter” Garner; her granddaughter Crystal Johnson; her great-granddaughters Tianna Bush and Ka’Mia Garner; her great-great-granddaughter Aniah Johnson; her 2 sisters and one brother. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughters Lois Garner of Dayton, Tammy Kefauver and husband Gordon of Crosby and Kathleen Lewis-Ballard and husband Brian of Baytown; her granddaughter and caregiver Susan Garner Bush and husband Addison of Crosby; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren too many to list; her nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. 

Honoring the family by serving as pallbearers will be Gordon Kefauver, Brian Ballard, DiJohn Moon, Addison Bush, Robert Johnson, and Brian Steffensen. 

Friends are invited to gather with the family starting at 10am on Thursday, January 31, 2019, in Palms Memorial Park Cemetery in Dayton. A graveside service and committal will follow at 10:30am.
