Andrea Jeneane Stanford Jarvis

Andrea Jeneane Stanford Jarvis, 63, was granted her angel wings on Monday, September 4, 2017, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. After her valiant fight with breast cancer in 2015, Jeneane’s battle resumed when her cancer aggressively spread throughout her body. In her final days, she was surrounded by loving family and friends. Jeneane was a beautiful and loving daughter, mother, GiGi, sister, aunt and friend.

Jeneane’s funeral service will be held in Anahuac, Texas at the Sterling Funeral Home at 2pm on Saturday, September 16, 2017. Immediately following will be the graveside service at the Historic Ridge-Pix-Paschal-McNeir Family Cemetery at Smith Point, Texas. The Nelson Family and friends will host refreshments at the Community Center after the graveside service.

Previously a Memorial Service was held on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at St. Albert the Great Newman Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico for friends and fellow employees and families of Southwest Sport and Spine, Inc. where she served as the Chief Financial Officer, a position she had held for several years after moving to New Mexico.

Andrea Jeneane was born in Galveston, Texas to Bennie V. and Ruth Nelson Stanford later of Woodville, Texas. She was the second daughter, Janet Elisabeth, 1951 first, Nelson Alan, 1955 and Laurie Denise Stanford 1960 followed. The family moved to Woodville in 1959 when Bennie became employed in the Woodville School System.

Jeneane attended Woodville Schools and was a 1972 graduate of Kirby High School. She received a voice scholarship to attend Lon Morris Junior College, graduating in 1974. She completed an Accounting degree from the University of Phoenix later furthering her accounting career with several attorney firms as the comptroller.

Jeneane married Richard Daniel Jarvis, they had a son and daughter, later divorced in 1991. Jeneanne’s beloved children, Tabitha Jeneane Jarvis Thompson and Richard Jake Jarvis, daughter-in-law Lauren Jarvis of Houston, Texas. GiGi’s grandchildren, Christian Thompson and Autumn Thompson, Jordon and Isabelle Bauer and Zachary Jarvis all of Houston.

Jeneane’s father Bennie V. Stanford preceded her in death in 1989. She is survived by her mother, Ruth Nelson Stanford Las Cruces, New Mexico; two sisters Janet Stanford and David Deems of Woodville, Denise Stanford and John Campbell of Las Cruces, New Mexico; her brother Nelson Alan Stanford of Woodville, Texas.

Grandparents Charles M. “Jake” Nelson, Kathryn McNeir Stuart, Lee Benjamin and Tafena Cryer Stanford preceded her in death. Survivors include aunts Margaret Anne Roberts Benge and Joanne Stuart Pate, Ottie May Stanford White and Maxine McMillian Stanford. Preceded in death, Susan Roberts Nevils, Mary Edith Nelson Scott (Wicki), Marcia Kay Nelson Cessna. Jeneane leaves many Stanford, McNeir, Nelson family cousins.

Jeneane continued with her many talents, crafts, cooking, dancing, singing, camping, baking pies, fishing, making beautiful jewelry and always sharing with others.
