Alberto Cabrera, 49, of Anahuac, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at his home in Anahuac. He was born on September 19, 1971, in Mexico, to Jose and Eva Grimaldo Cabrera.
Alberto worked as a metal building erector for KB Structures in Wallisville. He was a hardworking man and well respected by his colleagues. Alberto was extremely laid back and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed listening to music and dancing. Alberto was a man that had a desire and willingness to help others selflessly, giving unto others and never taking. Most importantly, he always made sure his family was taken care of.
Alberto was a member of Our Lady of Light Catholic Church in Anahuac. Alberto will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Alberto was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Praxedis and Rita Cabrera; his son Jose Cabrera; and his siblings Lourdes, Ana and Juan Cabrera. He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory, his wife Maria Remedios Cabrera; his children Alberto Cabrera, Jr. and girlfriend Claudia Chavez, Giovani Cabrera, Alexander G. Cabrera, Lizbeth Sandoval and husband Freddy, Yulissa Cabrera, Berenice Cabrera and husband Jose R. Pescador; his grandchildren Jocelyn and Jacob Pescador and Christian Sandoval; his parents Eva and Jose Santos Cabrera; his maternal grandparents Francisco and Aurora Grimaldo; his siblings Ema Guadalupe Cabrera, Alfredo Cabrera, Santos Cabrera, Enrique Cabrera, Armando Cabrera, Francisco Cabrera and Jose Cabrera; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Honoring the family by serving as pallbearers will be Alfredo Cabrera, Jose Cabrera, Alberto Cabrera, Jr., Freddy Sandoval, Jose R. Pescador and Daniel Compean.
Friends are invited to visit with the family beginning at 10am, on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Our Lady of Light Catholic Church, 2207 S. Main Street in Anahuac. A funeral mass will begin at 11am at the church, with Fr. Phillip Tran, celebrating. A graveside service and committal will immediately follow in Anahuac Cemetery.
