William “Red” Davis Parker, 92, of Dayton, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at his residence. He was born on August 23, 1925 in Gorman, Texas to Nell and Burford Parker. Upon graduating from high school, Red enlisted in the military, proudly serving his county in the United States Army.

Red and his wife Genelle recently relocated to the Dayton area from Hondo, Texas. They previously resided in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma before moving to Hondo. Red worked as a foreman for many years in the oil industry before retiring in 1986.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 38 years Minnie Genelle Elder Parker; his daughter Delores Little and husband Richard; his son Jimmy Parker; his stepson Sam Higgins and wife Sondra; his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
