Wilbur Eugene Dotson

Eugene Dotson, a well-known Brick Mason in the area, 76, of Mont Belvieu, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at his home. He was born on April 26, 1941 in McEwen, Tennessee to Leslie and Jenny Dotson. Eugene graduated from high school in McEwen. He played football in high school and received an all-conference recognition as a McEwen Warrior.

Eugene had many hobbies some of which included fishing and barbecuing. He liked football and keeping up with his Barbers Hill Eagle’s football team. He enjoyed gardening and had a knack for growing tomatoes. Eugene will be missed by all who knew him.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Ralph and Claude Dotson; and his grandsons Luke Arnold and Jimbo West. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children Candace Dotson Mrozik and husband Michael of Spring, Jennifer Arnold and husband Chris of Mont Belvieu and Tony Dotson and wife Donna of Cypress; his grandchildren Amanda Dotson, Chamen Arnold, Cody Dotson, Joni Cooper and Chrystal Key; his great-grandchildren Alyse Arnold, Brady Arnold, Caleigh Cooper, Coast Arnold, Garrett Cooper, Jaci Fulton, Jade Cooper, Paige Cooper, Braden Jordan, JD West and Justin West; and many other loving relatives and friends.
