Tammy Ruth McManusNovember 21, 1964 ~ May 15, 2017 (age 52)
Our flag of Stars and Stripes hangs a little lower today, for our beloved Tammy Ruth has finally flown away.
Tammy Ruth “Aunt T” McManus, was called home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, May 15, 2017, surrounded by her family.
Born on November 21, 1964, to loving parents, V.R. and Margie Ruth McManus, Tammy was a unique and caring individual who never let her limitations stop her from having a friendly disposition and sassy attitude.
Tammy began her life in Christ in 1982, when she accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior at Eminence Baptist Church. She was a proud member of the Anahuac High School Alumni Class of 1984 (she’d show off her class ring to anyone), a phenomenal Special Olympics Track Star (with medals to prove it), and a fantastic John Wayne historian. However, her favorite accomplishment was being the most patriotic supporter of her father and the United States Marine Corps. SEMPER FI.
Aunt T. was preceded in death by her parents, V.R. and Margie; and her precious nephew Starett McManus Burk.
Aunt T. is survived by her siblings: Patti McManus Humber, Robbie McManus, Tracey Burk and husband Donnie. She is also survived by the true joys of her life, her nephews and nieces: Will Humber and wife Jess, J.D. She is also survived by two dear aunts: Eula "Aunt Boo" Tinkle and husband Doug, Joyce McManus; and many cousins.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5pm until 7pm on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, in Anahuac, Texas.
