I just saw this on the Baytown Sun web site! I am so sorry to learn of this sad news. Sammie sewed many of my clothes in the 70's and 80's. The woman never stopped, doing something all of the time! I have known her for over 50 years, and know she was loved by everyone! My prayers go out to her family, as I know she will always be remembered in their hearts!
Hugs!!

Sammy was a dear friend and a wonderful Christian lady. She shared her garden veggies with us several times. She has a wonderful daughter that teaches my bible study class. We now have another angel looking down on us and watching out for us. May God bless and comfort those you left behind. R.I.P. wonderful lady.

Tommy,
While I never met your Mother, the tribute certainly gives me some insight and appreciation for your Mother. May God bless you and your family during this time of loss.

Our sincere sympathy is sent your way. I've known Sammy for a lot of years.
She was so sweet to me at Foleys, she away invited me to her Sunday School class
while we were working together who new we would be in the same class together
at Old River Baptist. She really did let her light shine.
She will be missed that's for sure.
Sincerely, Charlotte & Tommy
