Rena Mae Thomas

Rena Mae Thomas, 61, of Moss Hill, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at her home. She was born on January 7, 1956 in Bibb County, Alabama to Lee and Ruby Creel White.

Rena recently relocated to the Moss Hill area after spending more than 20 years in Cleveland, Texas. She was an independent and determined woman; never letting anything get in her way or stopping her from doing what she wanted. Rena was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She had an infectious smile and laugh. She loved all her family but held a very close and personal relationship with each of her nieces and nephews.

Rena enjoyed dresses, boots and clothing in general. She loved online shopping, smoking cigarettes and planting flowers. Rena considered herself as an amateur photographer. She was always taking pictures of whatever she could, even though most would laugh and tease her for being like a tourist snapping pictures all the time. But that never stopped her from taking more photos.

Rena was preceded by her father; her sister Deborah Dick; her brother Greg White; and her nieces Tammy White and Jewel Pierce. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her mother Ruby Samantha Long of Cleveland; her daughter Chrystal Boutwell and husband Josh of Crosby; her granddaughter Ruby Templeton; her siblings Lynn Becker and husband Bobby, Darlene Fregia, Vernon White and Danny White; her numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

A celebration of Rena’s life will be held at 1pm on Friday, October 27, 2017 at her daughter’s home located at 16607 Port O Call, Crosby, Texas 77532.
