Penny Carol King

Penny Carol Irish King, 53, of Mont Belvieu, Texas, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017 in Baytown. She was born on June 29, 1964 in Baytown, Texas to James “Peanut” and Wanda McLean Irish. Penny graduated from Barbers Hill High School in 1982 and worked as an administrative assistant in the pipeline division for Shell Corporation for 33 years.

Penny was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She enjoyed old time western reenactments near the Columbus, Texas area, riding motorcycles and reading to her grandson. Penny will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Penny was preceded in death by her father; and an infant son. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 23 years, Sam King of Mont Belvieu; her son Willie Alford and wife Gail of Mont Belvieu; her daughter Betsy Cumbie and husband John of Dayton; her grandson Jacob Alford; her mother Wanda Irish of Mont Belvieu; her sisters Becky Nelson, Sherry Bolton and Libby Fulton all of Mont Belvieu; her brother Larry Fulton and wife Shanna of Mont Belvieu; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 10am on Saturday, October 14, 2017 in the Tilton Cemetery, located on FM 565 in Old River-Winfree.
