Monte Morris Fleischman

Monte Morris Fleischman, 58, of Hankamer, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 22, 2017 at his home. He was born on August 3, 1959 in Baytown, Texas to Morris Lee and Joyce Crystal Montgomery Fleischman. Monte graduated from Anahuac High School in 1977. 

Monte loved everything about the woods as a young boy, always wanting to spend the weekends camping alone. He had a fascination when it came to wild animals. As a teenager, Monte brought home a bob cat that he had hog tied; wanting his dad to help him determine the sex of the frisky cat. He even raised a pair of wild hogs, foxes and egg laying chickens. Monte used to sell his chicken’s eggs to many in the Hankamer community. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. 

Monte was preceded in death by his mother; his brother Rickey Lynn Fleischman; and his niece Wendy Fleishman. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his father Morris; his sister Toni Mullins and husband Fred Johnson; his nieces Crystal Mayer and husband Jeremy, Dana Renee Clark and Misty Fleischman; his nephew David Fleischman and wife Deanna; numerous great nieces and nephews; numerous great-great nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. 

Friends are invited to visit with the family beginning at 6pm on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 1201 S. Main Street, Anahuac, Texas. A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation at 7pm at Sterling Funeral Home.
