Kenneth Ray Childs

Kenneth Ray Childs, 64, of Dayton, Texas, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017 in Houston, Texas. He was born on August 10, 1953 in Rodessa, Louisiana, the only child to Harold Kenneth and Minnie Belle Betterton Childs.

Kenny was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He enjoyed nothing more than riding his motorcycle. Kenny also enjoyed movies, mainly Sci-Fi and tinkering around on his computer.

Kenny was preceded in death by his father. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother, Minnie Childs Darrington; his children Nicholas James Childs and Jamie Childs; and a host of friends. Kenny was a loving son, father and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6pm until 8pm on Thursday, November 30, 2017 in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main Street, Dayton, Texas. A funeral service will be held at 10am on Friday, December 1, 2017 at Sterling Funeral Home. A graveside service and committal will immediately follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery in Dayton.
