Juan “Johnny” Aureliano Garza, 53, of Anahuac, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 15, 2017. He was born on February 3, 1963 in Reynosa, Mexico, the son of Guadalupe and Maria Perales Garza. Johnny graduated from Waltrip High School class of 1982 in Houston, Texas and attended Spartan College Aeronautics and Technology.  On August 26, 1989 Johnny and Theressa married in Tulsa, Oklahoma and had their only child in February 6, 1992. In 2008, Johnny, his wife Theressa and son Johnathan relocated to Anahuac from the Pearland area. He worked as a machinist for Schaffer Precision Machining in Houston until 2015.

Johnny was an amazing and talented artist. He enjoyed drawing, painting and building model airplanes. He was an airplane enthusiast who would spend countless hours of his childhood years at air bases and air shows to obtain as much information as he could on all types of aircraft. Johnny loved his television and was a Sci-Fi movie buff. He was a kid at heart with a passion and love for Walt Disney World. When his son Johnathan was younger, they made it a point to travel there every other year.

Johnny was preceded in death by his father; his brothers Julio, Eddiberto and Crisoforo Garza; his sister Doraelia Garza; and his father-in-law Don Watson. He leaves behind to cherish his memory loving wife of 27 years Theressa Simone Watson Garza; one son Airman Johnathan Mitchell Garza (24), Beale AFB; his mother Maria Perales Garza; his brothers Jose Enrique Garza and Aldo Garza, both of Houston, Texas; his sisters Diane Garza Hernandez and husband Johnny and Vanessa Garza Hernandez and husband Antonio, all of Houston, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Johnny will be missed by all who knew him.

Honoring the family by serving as pallbearers will be Johnathan Garza, Oswaldo Jimenez, Albert Crews, Cody Crews, Cole Crews, Brad Watson and Demarcus White. Honorary pallbearers are Danny Alms and Dr. Ben Beauoi.
