Dearest Aunt Dopey, words seem inadequate to express the sadness Shonnie and I felt when we heard of Uncle Joe's passing. He was a good man whom I looked up to as a role model. "If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord."

I loved Joe's laugh! it was unique and infectious! He was fun to be around, always ready to hear or tell a good joke. My Dad used to call him "Percy Foreman," and Joe got a kick out of that! He was a good Man from a wonderful family! My thoughts and prayers are with Rita and the entire family.

Mr. Sandlin I will always remember you as one of the nicest people I knew when I was younger living in Anahuac. I will never forget that hilarious day at the " crows nest". My mother Analene Karr,, her mother Annie Gibson and her brothers Calvert and Ronald Gibson thought the would of you.. You were loved by many and will be missed by many. Prayers to all the family and friends at this time.
