Dear Stevenson Family,
My sincerest condolences for your loss, the news of Dougs passing was a shock to all of us. Doug was a wonderful friend and one the smartest guys I know. Through the years Doug and I would engage in lively debate over technology and the art of the possible. As you know Doug had an opinion or two and I’m sure he’s up in Heaven, telling God that he really needs to better job at monitoring everything in Heaven and he’s got the solution for him. Classic Doug!
Doug will live on in our hearts and minds, and we will remember him for the lovely, wonderful and funny person that he is.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of the Stevenson Family.
Sincerely,
Hani Bandi.

I love Doug! He was a great friend of mine... I knew him from Facebook. I was just telling him that he confirmed something from a book that I was writing(he sent me some interesting information). He bought me my first book on transhumanism and he was a GREAT brother in the Lord. I am praying for the family, may God's strength be with you in this rough time.

Dougie became a part of who I am a long time ago. I'm been known to "whaaaazzupp!!" on occasion. I learned math from Doug: pie are round, cobbler are square. And there's no replacement for displacement - just LS-swap it. God bless ya, buddy. I miss the heck out of ya already.

Our hearts are saddened and the world sighed when Dougie left. He was the kindest friend, and I knew him for many many years. He was brilliant and articulate- he always had time for me, such a gentle soul. Be at peace Dougie, you are so missed.
