Clara Ann Segovia

Clara Ann Segovia, 79, of Coldspring, Texas, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017, at her home surrounded by family. Clara was born on May 14, 1938 in Hardin, Texas, the daughter of the late William Charles and Bessie Burks Millard.

Clara was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She loved all animals, collecting dolls, playing solitaire on her tablet and taking casino trips but she loved her children and grandchildren even more.

Clara was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 62 years, Joe Segovia, Sr.; her daughters Nancy Lively, Theresa Pena and Joann Segovia; her grandchildren David Boles, Jr. and Regina Boles; and her siblings Essie Henderson, Justin “Sonny” Millard, Shirl Mayes and Linda Jean Hall. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons, Joseph Segovia and wife Deborah of Coldspring, Joe Segovia, Jr. and wife Amanda of Coldspring; her daughter Shirley Segovia and fiancé Leslie Glass of Coldspring; her brother Raymond Millard of Beaumont; her eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren; her fur-baby Prissy and other beloved animals.  She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Honoring the family by serving as pallbearers will be Michael Johnson, James Johnson, Michael Segovia, Gus Farrio, Brandon Reed, Roy Ortiz and Ronnie Millard. Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Segovia and Eric McClellan.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2pm until 3pm on Saturday, October 21, 2017 in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main Street, Dayton, Texas. A funeral service will begin at 3pm, with Rev. Trey Buxton of First Apostolic Church of Goodrich, Texas officiating. A graveside service and committal will immediately follow in Hardin Chapel Cemetery in Hardin.
